University of Oulu among the 500 best universities in the world

In this year's ranking, more than 20,000 universities were included, of which the top 2,000 were ranked. Last year, the University of Oulu was ranked 461, so its ranking has improved slightly.

Center for World University Rankings measure the quality of research with various indicators. The evaluation takes into account, among other things, the number of research articles, their number in the top-tier journals and the number of citations. The evaluation also includes the number of significant awards received by alumni and staff, as well as the number of the alumni who have held top executive positions at the world's largest companies relative to the university's size.
