Ecology and Genetics
In Ecology and Genetics Research Unit high quality research is carried out in a number of research groups
Geography
Geography studies natural and societal processes, their interactions, and changing human-environment relations both locally and globally.
Mathematical Sciences
Research Unit of Mathematical Sciences conducts high-level scientific research and provides quality teaching.
Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit
NANOMO is international and dynamic research unit with wide range of research from atmospheric research to functional nanomaterial, quantum level theory and biomedical physics.
NMR Research Unit
NMR Research Unit develops modern experimental and computational methods for characterization of materials
Space Physics and Astronomy
Space physics is a field of science that studies the Sun, the solar wind, heliosphere and the planetary magnetospheres and upper atmospheres within the Solar system. The goal of Astronomy is to describe and understand the Universe as a whole.
Our education and doctoral training are based on strong basic research. We develop our education so that it strengthens our students’ ability to think through the lens of natural science, which prepares students for a variety of international expert and education positions.
In the Faculty of Science, you can study biology, physics, geography and mathematics.
We participate actively in various international and national research, education and infrastructure networks.
