Prof. Nonne Prisle

Professor in Atmospheric Sciences and Director of the Center for Atmospheric Research. In ATMOS, we use a range of experimental and computational methods to study the physics and chemistry of aerosol nano-particles and surfaces, and their effects on air pollution and Earth's climate.

Highlights:

  • ERC Starting Grant 2016
  • Academy of Finland Research fellow 2017
  • Nordic Society for Aerosol Research (NOSA) Aerosologist award 2020
  • Appointed to the international database of excellent female researchers AcademiaNet 2021

Other roles:

  • Elected board member and vice-chair of the board of the Finnish Synchrotron Radiation User Organization (FSRUO) 2018-2021 and 2021-2024.
  • Elected board member of the Finnish Association for Aerosol Research (FAAR)
  • Associate editor of Environmental Science: Atmospheres published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) 2020-
