Cuckoo bread (Oxalis acetocella) is in flower. This plant grow in the herb rich-forests as far as the polar circle,
but it is rather rare there, north from Oulu. See a map! The leaves of cuckoo bread are overwintering; in this picture

May blob (Caltha palustris) thrives on the wet watersides. It is one of the flowering plants in spring.
In the time of spring flood it can fall into water. There is in Lappland one form of May blob living constantly
under water table.
