This
accessibility statement applies to the University of Oulu service e-Forms – Electronic forms and has
been updated on September 6, 2024. The Act on the Provision of Digital Services obliges us
as a public sector organisation to comply with accessibility requirements in our
digital services.
We have
assessed the accessibility of the service ourselves.
Partially
meets accessibility requirements.
A form control has more than one label
associated with it. A form control should have at most one associated label
element. If more than one label element is associated to the control, assistive
technology may not read the appropriate label.
o 1.1.1 Non-text content
A layout table is present. Layout tables exist
merely to position content visually - to create columns, insert spacing, or
align content neatly for sighted users. They can introduce reading and
navigation order issues. Screen readers may interpret them as data tables
(i.e., announcing column and row numbers). This introduces significant overhead
on screen reader users.
o 1.3.1 Info and relationships
The drop-down menu for certain form fields is
not fully visible if the form is used vertically on a mobile device. It is
necessary to change the device to landscape orientation to see the entire
contents of the page.
o 1.3.4. Orientation
A menu that is visible only to an administrator
or administrator has very low contrast between text and background colors.
o 1.4.3. Contrast (minimum)
Some column headings in a table element
disappear if the text size is increased by more than 150 %.
o 1.4.4 Resize text
The service has a 90-minute time-out, after
which the user is logged out automatically. It is not possible to adjust the
time limit. The user will not receive a separate warning before time expires. (The
time-out is informed in notification text on the front page.)
o 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable
Adjacent links in the top bar go to the same
URL (the university logo and the text "e-Forms" both redirect to the
front page of the service).
o 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)
If you
notice any accessibility problems on the website, please first give feedback to
us, i.e. the site administrator. It may take up to 14 days to receive a
response. If you are not satisfied with the response you have received or do
not receive a response at all within two weeks, you can file a complaint with
the Regional State
Administrative Agency for Southern Finland (opens in a new tab). The
website of the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland
provides detailed information on how to submit a report and how the matter will
be processed.
