High Frequency Induction Technology for advanced Materials Processing (InTeMP)

InTeMP-project is a 3-year project (Interreg Nord funding) of the NorFaST-HT –community (Nordic Community for Fast Steel Heat Treatments). Project reinforces the research facilities of the community and research cooperation between the Nordic countries. The aim is to develop new cost-efficient manufacturing processes to reduce the carbon footprint of the steel industry, but also to create laboratory scale research environments to study extremely short heat treatment cycles (< 0.1 seconds) for fundamental understanding. In addition, one work package is reserved for the SME’s for information dissemination and brainstorming.

FMT group operates as the Lead Partner in this 1.032 M€ project. Associate partners include Lund University, Swerim Lulea, SSAB Europe Oy, Magcomp Ab, TL Solutions Oy, RAKJ, Teknikum Ab, Recion Oy and Miilux Oy. The project is funded by the Regional Council of Lapland together with the EU programm Interreg Nord.
