Sydänkesä tuli tänä vuonna (2002) nopeasti, koska kevät ja alkukesä oli lämmin.
Koivussa oli täysi lehti jo ennen juhannusta... Onko kasvihuoneilmiö jo saamassa jalansijaa?
Midsummer began in this year (2002) very quickly, because spring and early summer was warm.
There was full leaves in the birches as early as in the middle of June...
Is the greenhouse effect actually starting?
Pohjoisen kesä on ollut verraten lämmin ja muutenkin aika suotuisa.
Tosin kevät oli aika oikukas, oli pakkasiakin. Jo nyt (elokuun alussa) alkaa
syksyn merkkejä olla mm. mustikassa (kts. ruska!).
Tosin eri varpujen välillä on yksilöllisiä eroja syksyyn valmistautumisessa
- kuten kuva kertoo. (Tässä varvusto on märkä sateen vuoksi.)
Summer in the North has been rather warm and favourable,
although the spring was changeable and cold from time to time. Now
(at the beginning of august) some marks of autumn are appearing in the nature
among others in the bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), see also autumnal colours!
There are some individual differences in the dwarf shrubs, as you can see in this picture.
