History

Technology, Innovation, and Industrial Management (TIIM) represents collective and joint efforts among international scholars spanning over various continents from Asia, Europe, and North America. It aims to promote academic cooperation and exchanges among scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the areas relating to technology management, enterprise development, innovation, learning, and industrial and operational management.  TIIM’s overall goal is to become a platform where constructive dialogues among leading researchers, faculty members, as well as students can be made. To achieve this aim, TIIM has organized its annual conference during the past two years in Thailand and will have its 2011 gathering in Oulu, Finland during June 28-July 1.

For the past TIIM 2009 and 2010, Kasetsart University has played a leading role in playing the host to friends and colleagues around the world. Faculties of Business Administration and Engineering have worked together with Advanced Science Center in Industrial Technology in planning and promoting TIIM.  Kasetsart University has organized the conferences in Bangkok and Pattaya respectively with great enthusiasm and support. Participants from at least 20 countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America have come to Thailand during the past two years,

Leaders and top executives in the areas of automotive, construction, electronics, entertainment, foods, healthcare, and telecommunication have been invited as keynote speakers to share their experiences, wisdom, and visions with TIIM participants.  The Academic Leadership and Editors’ Panel sessions have assisted TIIM participants in future trends for academic progress and development.  Finally, the opening remarks from TIIM 2010 by the former Prime Minister of Thailand, His Excellency Chuan Leekpai have focused on broadening international partnerships, exchanges of ideas, and mutual understanding of cultures.  This focus is the highlights when coming to TIIM conference.
