Ilpo Niskanen received the M.Sc. in degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in physics (applied optics) from the University of Joensuu, Finland, in 2008. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher of Measurement of optical properties index of solid by X-ray holography in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Tsukuba, Japan in 2014-2015 and determination of optical properties of nanocellulose in Mid Sweden University/ Department of Electronics Design, Sundsvall, in Sweden in 2017-2018 and Visualization of soil surface from an excavator by 2D profilometer in the Public Works Research Institute in Japan in 2019-2020. Since 2018, He has been an Adjunct Professor of particle characterization techniques and imaging technologies in autonomies work machines at the University of Oulu/ Faculty of Technology in 2018. His current research interests include sensor technology, optical, spectroscopy, optical properties of materials, calculation algorithms, and image analysis.
