Katja Sutela is university lecturer and researcher in music education at University of Oulu, Finland. Her doctoral thesis focused on the possibilities of Dalcroze-based music education among students with special needs. She conducted her post doctoral research with focus on music education of d/Deaf students. In the project, she was particularly criticising the hierarchy of the senses in music. Her research interests focus on diversity and AI in music education and ecosocial approach in education.
