Neuroimaging and Computational Neuroscience
I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, specializing in medical physics and technology with a focus on neuroimaging. My research explores the interactions between brain fluid flow and spontaneous brain oscillations across different states of consciousness. I am particularly interested in the mechanisms behind the glymphatic system, which helps clear metabolic waste from the brain.
Using advanced imaging techniques like MRI and EEG, along with mathematical modeling, I study how changes in arousal states impact neurofluid dynamics. This research aims to identify early markers of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and improve treatment approaches.
