Permanent Renouncement of Study Right

Students are entitled to renounce their study rights. Renouncement of study right is binding and after withdrawal the student may no longer continue their studies in that degree programme or main subject. A study right can only be regained according to normal student admission procedures.

A student submitting any request for renouncement shall be considered to have renounced their student right as of the submission date of the request. A student who renounces their study rights can no longer be a member of the Student Union nor are they entitled to student allowance or other benefits related to student status of a specific study right. The renouncement is registered in study registry and the information is sent to the Student Union.

Renouncement of study right is applied in Eforms system.

Student chooses the level of study right in application:

1. Lower degree + higher degree.

   When the student has been admitted to a degree programme consisting of both Bachelor's and Master's level study right, and the student renounces the study rights, both study rights are renounced.

2. Higher degree
3. Doctoral degree

4. Other study right.

   Please specify to "Additional information".

5. I already have Bachelor's degree study right and I proceed to higher degree studies (lower study right will be cancelled).

   If the student is proceeding directly to a higher degree study right, attach your Bachelor's degree certificate to your application. Your earlier certificates are checked that they are equal to a Bachelor's degree. You must also attach a Master's degree personal study plan (PSP) to your application.
