University of Oulu students and staff can use the library also outside the opening hours. Self-service use is possible with a student's 24/7 Campus Card or a staff ID card.
Medical Library's outside returns box (book drop) is next to the accessible entrance located to the left of the main entrance 7A (follow the sign from the entrance 7A), see map.
Self-service library users can return loans with the self-service machine in the library.
Oamk and OSAO Kontinkangas unit students and staff can use the Health and Social Care Library also outside the opening hours. The self-service library is available for use every day 7:30-21:00, also on weekends.
Self-service use is possible with a separate electronic access key, which you can get from the campus porters. During self-service hours entry to the library is possible only via door Paasi 3. During self-service hours the library collections, premises and equipment are freely available for use. You can borrow and return items with the self-service machines.
Please note! In the event of misuse, the access area rights can be removed from the user's electronic access key. Staying in the library premises outside the self-service hours causes an alarm, the costs of which are the responsibility of the person causing the alarm.
Oamk students and staff can use the Oulainen Learning Centre also outside the opening hours. The Oulainen Learning Centre is available for use Monday to Friday 8:00-19:00, closed on weekends. Entrance to the Learning Centre is until 15:30. During self-service hours the library collections, premises and equipment are freely available for use. You can borrow and return items with the self-service machines. Please contact the Learning Centre for further information about self-service use.
Self-service use is possible with a key, which you can get from the Oulainen Learning Centre when the staff are present. During self-service hours entry to the Learning Centre is via the downstairs door. The key to the Learning Centre cannot be used to open the campus main door.
After-hours returning The library returnsbox is in the hallway next to the entrance of the Learning Centre. Returns can be dropped there during campus opening hours.
Note! Since the library does not have a mobile phone number for arrival notices, packages cannot be sent online. Read more about returning loans by mail.
