Master's Admissions: Deadlines

After processing the application, Studyinfo will send you an e-mail notification informing you of your application status and, if needed, requesting you to supplement your application. Please read these notification emails carefully and act accordingly!

In some cases, the International programmes also conduct student interviews to determine the applicant’s academic qualifications and knowledge of the field. Applicants who are selected for interviews are personally contacted by the Selection Committees.

Admisson results are published in early April. University sends the Letter of Admission to accepted applicants via e-mail.

You may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term.

Please note that failure to verify your educational documents or language test results on time will result in cancellation of your study place!

Applicants who receive a study offer need to verify the educational documents according to given instructions and send them to University of Oulu by April 30, 2025 at 15:00 / 3pm (GMT+3). Remember to verify your documents according to given instructions.

Please note that this also includes your language test results if you are using language test results as proof of your language skills. You need to make sure your language test results can be verified in the test organisation's system by by April 30, 2025 at 15:00 / 3pm (GMT+3).

Please note that the admissions team will begin processing verifications as they arrive. Therefore it may take a while before you receive confirmation on your verification. We kindly ask you to be patient and to wait for our confirmation, which will arrive once we have verified your documents and test results.

Last day to confirm the study place.

All students accepted must confirm their study place with the following schedule: July 10, 2025, 15:00 / 3 pm (GMT+3)

Confirm the offered place electronically through the link in your email notification. Please note that you can only accept one study place per term.

If you don’t confirm your study place by the due date, you will lose the study place.

Last day to pay the tuition fee for citizens of non-EU/EAA countries.

The tuition fee has to be paid by July 10, 2025. Failure to pay will result in revoking of the study right for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants who are admitted to Master's degree and are graduating with higher education degree during spring/second term 2025 - Last day to provide the Degree Certificate and Transcript of Records

Applicants, who receive a conditional offer of study placement, have to submit certified copies of the Degree certificate and the final transcript of records by this date. Failure to do so will result in study place cancellation.

Academic year begins with the Orientation for new students starting early September onwards. Dates to be confirmed later.

All students are required to present their original certificates and transcript of records before starting their studies.
