Corona epidemic worsened – It’s important to get vaccinated and take care of hygiene
The corona epidemic has become worse in the Oulu region, and the need for medical care is increasing. Infection and incidence rates are also at high level.
A new mask recommendation has been set in the region. The use of the mask is always recommended in public spaces for people who are not fully vaccinated. Vaccinated people are recommended to wear mask at their own discretion in public spaces when many people spend time close to each other for a longer period and in public transport, especially during peak hours.
On campuses it's important to take care of hand and cough hygiene. It is not allowed to enter the campuses if you are ill or suspect coronavirus infection. The University of Oulu recommends vaccinations against coronavirus for the entire university community. Information about vaccinations can be found on the City of Oulu website.
