Lauri Hautala

I work as a university lecturer in Nano and Molecular Systems research unit at the Faculty of Science. In research, I am interested in nanomaterials, nanoscale phenomena and their applications. I have specialized in the use of synchrotron radiation in materials science, but I am also interested in the use of whole range of electromagnetic radiation for different applications such as hyperspectral imaging. I work as the head of physics teaching laboratory and provide teaching especially related to experimental topics in the molecular- and materials physics specialization. Currently, I am studying university pedagogy and am interested in research based development of teaching. In addition, I work as the contact person of the physics degree program related to working life in private sector and Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oulu UAS).
