Alum of the Year

The University of Oulu Association nominates annually the Alum of the Year from among the graduates of the University of Oulu. A person of special merit in their field receives this honourable mention. The Alum of the Year will receive an alumni baton and a miniature sculpture as a sign of their appointment.
Vuoden alumnin nimi kaiverretaan puiseen alumnisauvaan, joka annetaan alumnille lahjaksi nimityksen yhteydessä.

Nomination of the Alum of the Year

The Alum of the Year will be nominated among the graduates of the University of Oulu. The Alum of the Year can be appointed in the following categories:

  1. public activity in Finland or abroad,
  2. activity in the field of science, art or culture or
  3. activity in the field of business and professions.
