Education description

Literature review is an essential feature of academic research. Fundamentally, reviews of earlier research and existing literature establish the foundation of academic inquires and knowledge generation. To push the knowledge forward, we must know where it currently is; what is known, and what is not known. This applies to reviews that serve as background for an empirical study, or stand-alone reviews. The aim of the course is to provide doctoral students with basic understanding and skills in reviewing and researching existing research and literature. The goal is to provide information on the use of such tools that help the students to navigate in their own field and produce coherent knowledge of the level of academic (and practical) knowledge in it.
