Cinema club is free of charge and open to all. In each meeting, you will get to see one movie followed by a discussion about the thoughts and feelings the movie provoked. The movies will be shown in their original languages with subtitles in English and the discussion will be held in English.
The club will meet again on Wednesday, March 27 at 5.30 pm and watch Goodfellas (Martin Scorsese, 1990).
"Goodfellas" tells the story of Henry Hill, a young man drawn into the world of organized crime in Brooklyn. Along with his friends, Henry quickly ascends the ranks, enjoying the glamorous perks of a gangster lifestyle until betrayal and the weight of his own guilt lead to his downfall. As the FBI closes in and Henry's world unravels, he must confront the consequences of his choices and decide where his loyalty truly lies.
The club is student-led and supported by Talent Boost Bottom-Up internal funding. We wish to have a diverse group of participants, including the students and staff of the University.
