Warmly welcome to HI Ethics Forum: Facing the challenges in research and data with, for and in AI (workshop) on 10th of March, 2025 at 10-14.00, TellUs Backstage, Linnanmaa campus.
In collaborational workshop HI Ethics Forum meets Infotech and Eudaimonia to explore ethical, legal, technical and commercial challenges in research on AI, with AI and for AI. The workshop stems from challenges identified by researchers and these challenges and related themes are discussed and worked on in the workshop with help of invited experts.

About the speakers
Outi Hakola works as a university lecturer in qualitative research methods at University of Eastern Finland. Her expertise includes health & art studied, death studies, cultural studies, film and television studies, and humor studies. Currently, Hakola is responsible for the the development of a new, cross-faculty course "AI as a tool for research".
Timo Koivumäki works as associate professor in business analytics and digital service business at the University of Oulu. His research interests include business analytics, consumer behaviour in digital environments, user-driven innovation, digital marketing, digital service business models and business ecosystems.
Suvi Sankari works as University researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of Helsinki, for a research project on the 'Automated administration: Governance of ADM in the public sector'. Suvi is deputy director of the multidisciplinary University of Helsinki Legal Tech Lab, an EU law expert currently working on the EU AI Act, nursing a penchant for use of empirical research methods within legal studies. She was the PI of Academy of Finland (2019-23) research project 'Is this Public or Private? A Study on the Philosophical Foundations of European Privacy Regulation' (POP).
