Oulu at Your Service

The Oulu at Your service event will give you a comprehensive overview of the services and leisure activities offered by the City of Oulu and other organisations in Oulu region. At the event, you will discover information useful for your everyday life at Oulu: Where to buy a bus card, find interesting events and multicultural activities, outdoor attractions, or boost for career after your graduation.

The event will take place on Wednesday 2nd Oct 2024 between 12.00-15.00 at the Career Centre lobby on Linnanmaa campus (close to the green coat racks).

We welcome everyone to explore the variety of services and chat with experts from different fields!

The event is open for everyone, and it is organised in collaboration with the University of Oulu Applied Sciences and City of Oulu.

Services and activities to discover in the event:

• Multicultural Center Villa Victor offers you variety of different services: Finnish language courses in different levels, info sessions, events, clubs etc.
• Oulu Tourist Information Office offers you practical advice and tips for your leisure time, recreation and about travel services, for example information about cultural events, interesting places to visit and wonderful nature attractions in the Oulu region.
• YMCA Oulu - Yökoris - Sport, music and togetherness for young adults.
• Oulu City Library is a place where you can read, use computers and study. You can borrow books, magazines, music and movies, as well as join many kinds of events free of charge.
• Oulu10 Customer Service provides you with information, guidance and advice on all the city's services and support for digital services.
• North Ostrobothnia Employment and Economic Development Office (TE Office) offers services to job seekers and employers. We provide services and information on employment opportunities in Finland and abroad, continuing education, assistance with professional development at https://tyomarkkinatori.fi/en.
• International House Oulu offers you a variety of guidance services on integration, employment, and everyday life as well as events and info sessions free of charge. Find us at BusinessAsema.
• City of Oulu Sport services organise many kinds of exercise groups. At the moment we have groups for example for ball games and gym. We organise various courses such as skiing, cycling, ice skating. We have also exercise counselling free-of-charge and various sports events throughout the year.
• Lappis and Oulu Paddling Center offers moving activities in nature.
