Faculty Study Services offer support, advice and guidance in all questions related to your degree programme or studies.

General information

Service Teams have moved to faculties on 1 August 2024 and the name is now Faculty Study Services. See the 'For You' drop-down menu below for the contact information, location and service hours of your faculty's service team. Please, contact the service team primarily by using the faculty-specific service desk address (email).

You can contact the Faculty Study Services in all matters related to your studies or degree programme, such as enrollement at the university, study rights matters, study plan, study guidance, recognition of learning and tuition fees. Please note that as a student you can order an official transcript of records or a study certificate through Atomi service, see the instructions.

The primary address of the university student is the organization’s email address with the ending @student.oulu.fi. Kindly note that if you are using an email address other than the one provided to you by the University of Oulu to send personal, confidential or sensitive information to a university email address, you should use secured email. When sending information inside the university between university´s email accounts/addresses the communication is automatically secured.

Faculty of Education and Psychology Education Designers arrange weekly open office hours, both remotely and on campus. On campus study guidance will be held in the Compass 1 Service Point rooms (KE1020).

Autumn open office hours will be held during weeks 47-49 and on 9th and 10th of December. Spring office hours start on 7th of January 2025. Education designers will not have open office hours during week 10. Exceptions mentioned at this website.

The times mentioned below are “walk-in” times and do not require a separate appointment. Remote study guidance via Zoom – students will be taken in from “waiting rooms” and will be assisted one at a time.

Students are encouraged to contact study.education (at) oulu.fi in the first instance or during open guidance hours. The service address may be congested during busy periods (e.g. the beginning of the academic year), but we will try to respond to messages as soon as possible.
