Career Centre offers you a variety of workshops that prepare you to the work market and help you to stand out from the crowd. The Work Ready workshops are available to all the students at University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

Get work ready

Participate in our Work Ready workshops to upgrade your job search and employability skills together with the Career Centre specialist! You will learn to articulate your skills and competences, build your own brand, as well as get tools to create your CV, LinkedIn profile and cover letter. You will also learn about dos and don'ts of the job interview.

Work Ready workshops are available to all the students at University of Oulu and OAMK. We recommend attending each of the workshops before booking appointment for the career guidance.

How to Network like a Pro! workshop

Networking is a powerful tool for creating your professional identity and finding a job. There is a number of Dos and Don’ts and the art of networking is not easy for everyone.

  • How do I access the Hidden Job Market with the use of networking?

Living and Working in Finland course, 2 ECTS

During the course, we will delve into, and discuss some of the main characteristics of Finnish life and culture and important issues to be aware of while living and working in Finland. The main goals of the course are to provide information and advice that will make your integration into Finnish culture, university and working life that little bit easier. Sign up in Peppi.

Cultural Adaptation Support

Have you just moved to Finland and started your studies here? Do you find that adapting to a new environment affects you in unexpected ways? If you think you might need help with your adaptation process or culture shock, or if you just want to talk to someone about your situation, we are here to support you.

You are welcome to the Cultural Adaptation Support at Linnanmaa campus, where you can come and talk about your situation, ask questions, and get support to your adaptation process.
