2,655 Applicants for Oulu Business School’s BSc and MSc programmes taught in Finnish

The Finnish Bachelor's and Master's programme in Economics and Business Administration was once again among the three most popular programmes at the University of Oulu. The number of applicants (2,541) increased by over a hundred from the previous year. There was also a slight increase in the number of applicants who applied primarily to Oulu. There are 170 places available in the programme, 60% of which will be filled through certificate selection. The remaining places will be filled through an entrance exam, which will be held on 4 June 2025.
Through the open pathway, 84 applicants applied to the Finnish BSc degree programme, 81 of whom applied primarily to Oulu. The number of applicants through the open pathway also increased compared to last year. The open pathway is available to those who have completed the required studies at an open university as specified in the selection criteria. There are 55 places available for these applicants.
The third programme in the joint application was the two-year Master's programme in Accounting, which has 10 places available. The number of applicants (78) for the Master's programme decreased slightly, but the number of primary applicants remained at the same level as in previous years.
The results of the certificate selection will be announced by 26 May at the latest, and the results of other selections by 3 July 2025 at the latest.
