Annual registration for Academic year 2024-2025

As a student at the University of Oulu, you must register for all your Study rights as present or absent during your academic year. Only as a registered student you can complete your studies, receive study guidance and graduate.

The academic year registration for continuing students for the academic year 2024-2025 is open from May 2nd to September 13th, 2024.

If you are a new student, please make sure to register as either present or absent by August 12th, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the latest.

Registration is done electronically through the OILI registration service for each study right separately.

Contact your own Faculty's Academic Affairs Service Team, when

  • you are unable to register with the OILI registration service.
  • you have already accepted your Study Right in 2023, but you have been absent due to military service or other statutory reasons.
  • you are required to pay tuition fees (Electronic registration is not available).

Student healthcare fee for higher education students

The healthcare fee, which entitles students to FSHS services, is paid to Kela each semester. No invoice is sent for the healthcare fee, instead, it must be paid proactively through OmaKela. All students who have registered as present and are pursuing a lower or higher university degree are required to pay the fee.
