Application period for English-taught degree programmes is January 8–22
In this application period, the University of Oulu offers 23 English-taught degree programmes. Two of these lead to both a bachelor's and a master's degree, while the rest are two-year master's programmes. There are a total of 828 study places available.
Programmes are offered in the fields of health and life sciences, engineering and architecture, information and communication technology (ICT), business, education, and natural sciences.
The Master's Programme in Interdisciplinary Product Innovation and Creation has been renewed and it now focuses on product development.
"The programme promotes the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises by increasing productisation skills and strengthening cooperation between the university and companies. Students will take on a responsible role in a multidisciplinary product development team, working on projects with real needs and clients. We are also placing more emphasis on general skills, such as creativity and Finnish language," says Kari-Pekka Heikkinen, the Professor of Practice responsible for the programme.
The application form for the first joint application period in spring must be completed on Studyinfo by Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, at 3:00 PM Finnish time. Some applicants will be selected based on their application alone, while others will also have an interview. There is no quota for first-time applicants in the first joint application period.
An application fee will be collected from applicants who are not citizens of the EU/EEA or equivalent.
Student selections for international programmes will be published in April-May. The programmes will start in autumn 2025.
Applications for Finnish-taught bachelor's and master's programmes will be accepted during the second joint application period in spring, from 11th to 25th March 2025.
