Change negotiations will not be initiated at the Faculty of Medicine – a plan for balancing the economy to be prepared by the faculty

In its meeting on September 8, 2022, the Board of Directors of the University of Oulu discussed the financial situation of the Faculty of Medicine. The Board decided not to initiate change negotiations in accordance with the Act on Cooperation.

The Board of Directors requires that, under the leadership of the Dean, a financial action plan is drawn up in the Faculty of Medicine, the goal of which is to balance the faculty's finances by 2024 at the latest. The plan must be drawn up and presented to the Board for approval by 31 October 2022.
