Do you need a recommendation for individual study arrangements?

Individual study arrangements are granted to the student only when the student verifies his/her/they need by presenting a certificate for individual study arrangements, which is valid in the whole University of Oulu. The right to individual study arrangements is granted by the guidance services specialist.

If you need individual study arrangements, proceed as follows:

  1. Come to open reception time (KK238, Linnanmaan campus):
  • 15.8.2024 at 14-15
  • 11.9.2024 at 13-14
  • 3.10.2024 at 9-10
  • 17.10.2024 at 9-10
  • 14.11.2024 at 14-15
  • 12.12.2024 at 14-15

Take a printed statement (in english) of your condition signed by a doctor, psychologist or other specialist with you. In the pop up session we will see what kind of arrangements you might need and benefit from. You will get a written recommendation for the individual study arrangements. The recommendation is valid for five years, during your studies at the University of Oulu.

In order to get individual study arrangements, you need to show the recommendation to your teachers and agree on the arrangements. In order to get individual study arrangements, you need to show the certificate for individual study arrangements to your course teachers and agree on the arrangements needed. Discuss the arrangements you need with the course teacher as early as possible, so that the teacher has time to make the necessary arrangements.
