EBSCO ebook Collection — a growing collection of e-books covering a large selection of academic subjects

The EBSCO ebook Collection is a multidisciplinary e-book collection featuring e-books from leading publishers and university presses.

University of Oulu and Oamk have separate EBSCO e-book collections. You can search for e-books in Oula-Finna (just like printed books), and the e-books can be accessed on a mobile device or computer regardless of time and place by logging into Oula-Finna with the University of Oulu or Oamk user account.

You can read the EBSCO e-books online in your browser (just click EPUB Full Text or PDF Full Text). Some e-books are also available for download on your own device (Full Download, requires creating an EBSCOhost account). Unlimited simultaneous user access is available for most of the titles, but for some only one or three simultaneous users are allowed.

The library acquires new EBSCO e-book titles directly in the library collections and through the so-called Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA), where e-books are placed on offer to customers and the library only acquires the e-books used by customers. Customers can also make e-book acquisition suggestions.

EBSCO e-book collection for University of Oulu students and staff:

  • University of Oulu’s EBSCO e-book collection currently includes more than 200 000 e-books from various academic fields. The collection includes changing content as well as permanent e-books acquired by the library.
  • You can search for e-books in Oula-Finna | University of Oulu user interface, where you can also narrow down the search to e-books alone. EBSCO's e-books can also be browsed directly in the eBook Collection (EBSCOhost) service.
  • For remote access to e-books, log into Oula-Finna with the University of Oulu user ID (Haka-login).

EBSCO's e-book collection for Oamk students and staff:

  • Oamk’s EBSCO ebook Collection in Oula-Finna contains mainly individually acquired e-books from various academic fields. There are currently more than 7600 e-books in the collection.
  • You can search for e-books in Oula-Finna | Oamk user interface, where you can also narrow the search to e-books alone. Books can also be browsed directly in the eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)
  • Remote access to e-books by logging into Oula-Finna with the Oamk user account (Haka-login).
