Remember to pay the student healthcare fee in higher education to Kela. The amount of the healthcare fee for students in higher education is adjusted annually. The 2024 rate of the student healthcare fee is EUR 36.80 per term. You have to pay the fee to Kela for both the spring and the autumn term. You are not billed for the fee, but are expected to pay it unprompted. The due date for the autumn term is 15 November, if you have registered as attending by 30 September. Social and healthcare students in higher education, as well as students belonging to a risk group can receive their influenza vaccinations from the FSHS free of charge.
