Having trouble reading a book? Borrow a set of reading aids from the library for testing!

The reading aid testing kit includes three coloured overlays and two reading guide strips. The reading guide strip is a lightweight plastic strip that allows you to highlight print through a transparent tinted window. It helps maintain your place while reading, blocks distractions and strengthens visual tracking skills. This assist in concentration and focus. Colored overlays reduce the contrast between white paper and black text and can make it easier to focus and understand the text.

The reading aid testing kits can be borrowed from the library's customer service in Pegasus Library and Health and Social Care Library. The loan period is 14 days (cannot be renewed). You can also place a request on the set. Pick up location can be any of our four locations, also Medical Library or Oulainen Learning Centre. You can find the reading aid testing kit in the Oula-Finna online catalogue with the keyword "lukukalvot".
