I4WORLD researchers well presented at the Researchers' Night 2024
The Researchers' Night was celebrated at the University of Oulu on Friday, September 27th, 2024. I4WORLD participated in the event for the first time. Researchers' Night, which spans across Europe, is the largest science event of the year at the University of Oulu, attracting visitors of different ages. Excitement and curiosity of the public was clearly seen when I4WORLD researchers presented the world of science with joy.
Science was showcased in I4WORLD workshop, including ten researchers, demonstrating how they are working together to build a sustainable future through research by using diverse methods of imaging and characterization. Researchers and their topics at the workshop included the following. Please also read some of the researchers’ experiences on the event.
- Shreya Pandey, Shahin Nourinezhad, Ifra Arif and Abrar Mian were showing how drones are used in ecology, environmental monitoring and microbiology research
- Abdul Khan and Rizwana Ajamavad showed what happens in artificial photosynthesis
- Hamed Derakhshandeh and Mohan Rangaswamy discussed on how NMR technology is applied in research and industry
- Maria Khan talked about DNA barcoding in biodiversity monitoring
- Anupam Lobo was presenting his research on green hydrogen production using sunlight
In addition to I4WORLD workshop, I4WORLD doctoral researcher Akshaye Bhambore was showing the interesting world of the bumblebees to the public at the Botanical Garden and doctoral researcher Daria Gracheva presented the interesting world of ancient Egypt through muography.
