Instructions: if you want to change your email address in Moodle or if your email address is missing from Moodle

Note! This instruction is valid until 13th March 2022, after which all the student email traffic will be directed to student.oulu.fi-addresses: All the student email traffic will be directed to student.oulu.fi-addresses starting from 14th March 2022

From then on, you will automatically receive the student.oulu.fi email address in the Moodle learning environment as a student.

Changing your email address to Moodle learning environment

Moodle learning environment receives a student's name and email information from the Peppi system. If you want to change your email address in Moodle, login to the Peppi system and change the desired email address in the "Other email" field in your own contact information and save the changed information. Please, do not leave this field blank, as an empty field will cause user breaks for you in Moodle.



The email will be updated in the Moodle learning environment the next day when you log into the Moodle learning environment. You can use the same email address in both the "Email" and "Other Email" fields in the Peppi system.

If your email address is missing from the Moodle Learning environment

If after logging in to the Moodle learning environment, your own user profile page opens and you are unable to proceed from the page, you should visit the Peppi system and check whether you have e-mail addresses in both "E-mail" and "Other e-mail" fields in your own contact information.



If you are missing "Other email" in your Peppi system information, please enter the email address in this "Other email" field. The email will be updated in the Moodle learning environment the next day when you log in to the Moodle learning environment.



You can use the same email address in both the "Email" and "Other Email" fields.
