Interest towards international degree programmes at the University of Oulu continues strong

Altogether 4379 applicants submitted their applications to the international degree programmes of the University of Oulu during the joint application period which ended 19, January, 2022. The number increased by about 55 percent from the previous year.

Applicants were able to choose from 20 two-year master’s programmes and two five-year programmes starting from bachelor level.

Most applications were submitted to:

Digitalisation, Computing and Electronics – 703

Business Analytics – 567

Computer Science and Engineering – 522

International Business Management – 469

Environmental Engineering – 375

Most attractive degree programmes according to the number of study places available were:

Product and Project Management - 30 applicants per place

Environmental Engineering - 19 applicants per place

International Business Management - 16 applicants per place

Digitalisation, Computing and Electronics - 15 applicants per place

Epidemiology and Biomedical Data Science - 14 applicants per place

Applicants could apply for up to six programmes. Altogether 573 study places are available in international programmes starting in autumn 2022.

Student selections for the international programmes will be published in the beginning of March.
