International RePIC degree programme receives a significant quality label

In addition to the University of Oulu, Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), Koç University (Turkey), Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany), University of Liège (Belgium), University College Cork (Ireland), University of Deusto (Spain) and University of Zagreb (Croatia) are participating in the RePIC degree programme.
The starting point for AQAS accreditation is the ESG quality criteria for European higher education (The Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area). The stamp provides Finnish and international students and partners with concrete information about the quality of the degree programme and education in question.
"Coordinating the practices of different universities has required more preparatory work than a regular degree programme. The accreditation is a great recognition of hard work. It also motivates us to continue developing the quality of the degree programme," says Professor Helka-Liisa Hentilä, who is in charge of the degree programme at the University of Oulu.
"As the accreditation is an indication of the high quality of education, we hope that the joint degree programme will continue to attract good applicants and that we will have motivated students."
The RePIC joint degree programme has also received the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) EU funding. The multidisciplinary 2-year degree programme trains experts to solve the challenges of post-industrial cities.
