Living and Working in Finland course 2CR: Autumn 2024

Have you just arrived in Finland and want to know more about Finnish culture, Finnish working life, and how Finnish society works? Or, have you been here for years and there are some things or phenomena you can’t get your head around about living or studying in Finland?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then register for the Living and Working in Finland course on Tuudo or Peppi, where answers to your questions will (hopefully) be provided, in addition to information and resources to ease your integration into university and Oulu life.

Are there some things or phenomena you can’t really understand, or get your head around about living in Finland or Finnish society? Do you sometimes feel you have no idea how Finnish society works? If so, then welcome to the "Living and Working Course" where you can get some insights into Finnish society and working life, while also earning credits.

During the course, we will delve into, and discuss some of the main characteristics of Finnish life and culture and important issues to be aware of while living and working in Finland. The main goals of the course are to provide information and advice that will (hopefully) make your integration into Finnish culture, university and working life that little bit easier.

The course is held once a week on Fridays at 14:00 from the end of September till mid-December. The full course description and timetable can be found from Peppi.
