New Academy Projects and Academy Research Fellows to the University of Oulu
A total of 12,269,918 euros were received from the Academy's researcher application to the University of Oulu and 10,822,030 euros from the project application.
Funding was granted for research on the use of artificial intelligence in learning, research on human social activity and digitalisation, hypoxia research, research on health risks of exposure to micro- and nanoplastics during pregnancy, and research on urinary metabolomics technology in metabolic diseases.
"Finance from the Academy of Finland is an integral part of our research funding, and I am very pleased with the amount of funding received by our researchers and projects. The funding strongly supports research related to our profile areas, such as artificial intelligence for learning, hypoxia and emission-free steel manufacturing," says Rector for Research Taina Pihlajaniemi.
