Peppi and Moodle are switching to the new login method
The transfer of the university's online services to the Microsoft Azure authentication method continues. Modification work is currently underway for systems using Shibboleth login. Most of them already use the new login method, such as Zoom, Yuja, FileSender and Google Workspace for Education.
Peppi enters the new authentication in two stages. Starting Monday 13th June, staff will log into Peppi through a new login window and MFA identification, and students from Wednesday, June 15.
Moodle enters the new authentication on Monday 27th June.
In the new login window:
- Enter your username in a long format familiar in Microsoft services. The long username consists of your own user account for staff like this: account@univ.yo.oulu.fi and for students: account@student.oulu.fi.
- The login includes MFA verification. You will be asked to verify your login by the phone with the authentication method you have previously chosen. As a rule, verification is asked when you sign up for services outside the campus network, but sometimes it can also be requested on a campus network or VPN connection.
