The working group began working on scenarios in a workshop hosted by architect Jenni Poutanen in September. The working group will hold two campus vision day in November when future images of campus development will be presented to the university's staff and students. The first campus vision day will take place on Wednesday 9th November at Kontinkangas campus (Aapistie 5 A/the Kieppi lobby) and another on Thursday 10th November at Linnanmaa campus (at the orange rack). Members of the working group can be met for free discussion from 10 am to 1 pm on both days.

“We have ended up with three different but possible scenarios from the University of 2050. The scenarios do not take a position on the exact location, but outline the approach to organizing activities and spaces", explains Lotta Leinonen, chair of the vision working group.

In early November, the working group will inform both the university community and the city board of Oulu about the process of campus vision work. Creating a campus vision has kept the working group busy, it has held meetings 12 times during the autumn. The vision work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The 15-person working group consists of staff from each faculty, students and representatives of different service units.
