Seven disciplines of the University of Oulu among the world's top in Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject

Each year, Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world's best universities. A total of seven fields at the University of Oulu were ranked among the best.

Computer science, which ranked 151–175, performed best among the disciplines of the University of Oulu. Education was the second-best performing discipline (176–200).

The Times Higher Education rankings are based on 18 indicators that assess the teaching, research and citations in each field of science. The ranking also assigns a small weight to external funding and internationality in the field of science. The weights assigned to the indicators used in the evaluation vary by field. In teaching and research, reputation evaluations provided by the members of the scientific communities are emphasised.
