Want to build a new startup over one weekend while earning credits (how many depends on what you study)? At Startup Weekend, you can develop your entrepreneurial skills together with your team and with the support of experienced mentors and experts. In the Kickstart business idea competition, the brightest students of the University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and OSAO compete against each other to win the grand prize of up to 2500 €!

Kaleva in 2030 – What will the future of media look like? 14.11.-16.11.
Kaleva Media celebrates the 125th anniversary of the newspaper Kaleva by organizing a hackathon event for university and college students. The Prize pool is 10 000 € and the winning team gets 5000 €.

The Slush Oulu Community Side Event and Pitching Competition returns on the 15th of November 2024!
Slush is the world's leading startup event, which takes place in Helsinki every year, bringing together top startups and world-class investors. This year’s event will be held on November 20- 21 in Helsinki. However, you don’t need to wait that long to get your first taste of Slush, as the Slush Oulu Community Side Event and Pitching Competition will take place on November 15th.
