Student - Participate in the Generic Skills Workshops
Six generic skills have been selected as the common skills for all students at the University of Oulu to master upon graduation on each degree level. The skills will be integrated into the curricula in autumn 2026. The content and learning objectives of these skills will be refined in open workshops. Student representation in these workshops is crucial to ensure that students’ perspectives and needs are considered.
Timetable for the Generic Skills Workshops:
- Nov 25, 2024, 13:00–16:00: International and Multicultural Skills (in English)
- Nov 26, 2024, 13:00–16:00: Communication and Interaction Skills
- Dec 2, 2024, 13:00–16:00: Analytical, Critical, and Creative Thinking
- Dec 3, 2024, 09:00–12:00: Multidisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Expertise
- Dec 3, 2024, 13:00–16:00: Sustainability, Responsibility, and Ethics
- Dec 9, 2024, 12:00–15:00: Wellbeing and Personal and Professional Development
The workshops will be held mainly in Finnish, but materials will be in Finnish and English. During group work sessions, it will be possible to work in either language. All workshops will take place at the Tellus Backstage on the Linnanmaa campus.
