Students will have extra place in the University Collegium
The Board of Directors of the University of Oulu has decided to make changes to the composition of the University Collegium. In the future, each group has eight representatives in the University Collegium. At the moment 10 members represent professors, 7 teachers, researchers, and other staff, and 7 students.
The change come into force in the next term after the elections. The next student council elections will take place in Autumn 2021. Personnel will elect their representatives at the same time in the administrative elections.
The role of the University Collegium is, among other things, to confirm the university's financial statements and annual report, and to decide on the number of members of the board and length of term.
