Sustainable Development Minor available to all degree and exchange students

Sustainable Development Minor offers all degree and exchange students of University of Oulu an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the different dimensions of sustainability and to choose study modules from different faculties. Through this minor University of Oulu encourages its students to build a more sustainable, intelligent and humane world.

Sustainable Development Minor (25 ECTS) is a collaboration between all faculties of University of Oulu. The minor can be found in Peppi under heading ”Sustainable Development” in category ”Minor subjects and other modules” within each faculty.

You can choose courses freely regardless of your study background, the courses of Sustainable Development Minor do not have any prerequisites. This minor offers an opportunity to choose sustainability-related courses based on your own interest and to expand your expertise to new areas. You can also register for individual courses, and there is no need to apply for the minor. Over half of the 51 courses are available in English.

The broad selection of sustainability studies offered by University of Oulu is complemented by courses of partner organizations (UniPID, UNIC, FITech, Climate University, Oulu University of Applied Sciences) which you can also include in the minor.
