Turnitin plagiarism check in Moodle 2025
A new course has been created in Moodle for the year 2025, where students can check their own text’s similarities compared to Turnitin database. You can also protect your own text and transfer it into Turnitin reference material to prevent plagiarism.
When it comes to theses, plagiarism checking is done as part of the Laturi process. However, students can check source citations and textual equivalences in the open Moodle environment before uploading the final version of the thesis to Laturi. If you want to check out your text without indexing it to Turnitin database, choose "Check text similarities without indexing".
