University of Oulu excelled in an international impact assessment

The ranking assesses the ecological, social, and economic impact of universities through the advancement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

The University of Oulu performed best in the UN's Sustainable Development Goals of "Gender Equality", "Sustainable Cities and Communities", and "Climate Action". For these goals, the University of Oulu ranked 101-200.

This year's overall assessment included 1,963 universities. Notably, the University of Oulu's ranking improved significantly, despite the number of compared universities increasing by nearly four hundred compared to last year.
