The University of Oulu ranked in the top five hundred in the CWUR ranking

This year's comparison included over 20,000 universities, of which the top 2,000 were ranked. Last year, the ranking of the University of Oulu was 459, so the absolute ranking decreased slightly. Compared to last year, there were over seven hundred more universities to be evaluated, which is why the relative ranking of the University of Oulu improved a bit.

Center for World University Rankings measure the quality of research with various indicators. The evaluation takes into account, among other things, the number of research articles, their number in the top-tier journals and the number of citations. The evaluation also includes the number of significant awards received by alumni and staff, as well as the number of the alumni who have held top executive positions at the world's largest companies relative to the university's size.
