DL: Rolling deadline.

Biodiverse Anthropocenes values global mobility! We aim to facilitate scientific mobility to build networks, foster collaborations, and inspire innovative insights in scientific research on biodiversity and society. The VisitANTS Come-and-GOulu Grant is offered to
a) scholars interested in visiting the University of Oulu.
b) ANTS members looking to visit a different academic institution within Finland or abroad to collaborate on research, writing, or funding application activities. A mobility visit can have various purposes, but the intended actions must align with the goals of Biodiverse Anthropocenes.

Proposed initiatives can span a wide range of natural and social science and humanities disciplines (e.g., anthropology, archaeology, biology, ecology, education, environmental humanities, geography, history, medicine, philosophy, etc.). They may also include a citizen science or a creative component.

This grant is offered on a rolling basis (no deadline), though awards are subject to funding availability. Both incoming and outgoing visits can range from 2 weeks to 3 months. The grant amount (€ 2000/month) is intended to cover basic living costs such as accommodation and food, as well as travel costs to/from Oulu. Please note that these grants do not cover conference or workshop participation; they are intended for directed institutional visits to produce high-caliber scientific outputs.

Applications for both incoming and outgoing grants must include the following: cover letter (max 1 page), mobility plan including a schedule for activities and outputs (max 2 pages); CV (max 4 pages); and Budget Allocation.

We aim to respond to applications with a decision within one month of submission. To apply, please visit HERE.
