Welcome to celebrate the new academic year – Register to the opening ceremony
The Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2021-2022 of the University of Oulu will be held virtually on the 5th of September 2022 at 3.15 pm. The event is for the entire University community, students, alumni and friends of the University.
The programme includes academic procession of the professors, speeches, peek into the research at the University of Oulu and music. We will also award distinguished members of the University community. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony. See the programme here.
Register to the opening ceremony by 22 August
The ecumenical service for the opening of the academic year in the University of Oulu and Oamk takes place in St. Luke’s Chapel on 5 August, just before the opening ceremony at 1.30 pm. In addition, the opening event of the academic year of the Student Union of the University of Oulu (OYY) and the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OSAKO) Hurmos takes place on 8-9 August.
