You can also participate by volunteering at our Living Library, that is happening at the same time at Sultural Marketplace. In this case, please email to: aija.saari@oulu.fi.
Living Library works just like a regular library but instead of paper books people can borrow a living human being for a discussion. The books at the Living Library are representing minorities and other groups of people who are encountering discrimination, prejudice and racism. You can choose the title of your book yourself – this means the theme you want to discuss about.
If you are interested in joining the Living Library, we kindly request the following information:
- What time would be the best for you during the Cultural Marketplace opening hours (30 minutes)?
- What is theme you would like to discuss about?
- Can we have the permission to publish your name in the event information?
If not attending in organizing - you are also warmly welcome to visit the event and enjoy the cultural treats as a visitor!
